How pages are produced, checked and kept apart from sales

Copy on Chip and Felt is written as a comparison resource. There is no named columnist and no invented newsroom biography. Material is attributed to this site's editorial desk.

Sources we actually use

  • The UK Gambling Commission public register for licensee, account number and licensed domains.
  • The operator's own UK terms and help pages for product scope (casino, live, betting) and stated support channels.
  • Direct inspection of the live lobby where it is visible without an account, plus published studio lists.

We do not invent review counts, user testimonials or "studies". If a welcome amount is not on the operator's current promotion page, we describe the offer type only.

How often entries are re-checked

The current list was last checked on 1 September 2026. The working rhythm is monthly for licence records and lobby notes, and sooner if a reader sends a correction we can verify. Scores move when the live offering changes in a way we can describe, not because a commercial calendar says so.

Separation from commercial deals

Affiliate availability can decide whether a brand is on the shortlist. Once it is on the shortlist, live-dealer quality is scored against the same criteria as its neighbours. A request to "move someone up" without a factual change is refused. Affiliate disclosure

Errors and the corrections page

Factual mistakes are corrected on the page they appeared. We do not run a secret log of complaints. If you want the method for sending a fix, use corrections.
